ACADEMICS at NLA

Challenging, supportive, and designed for the whole child

Our Program

At Noble Learning Academy, our academic approach is grounded in a few core beliefs:

• Learning should be engaging and meaningful

• Students should feel both challenged and supported

• Classrooms should be safe spaces where mistakes are part of the process

• Middle school should prepare students not just academically, but confidently, for high school and beyond
OUR CORE CURRICULUM:

Math
English & Literature
History
Science
Spanish

We use a block schedule, allowing for deeper learning, meaningful discussion, and the time students need to truly understand concepts.

Small class sizes allow teachers to meet students where they are and tailor instruction to their needs.

Students are both supported and challenged, building confidence alongside strong academic skills.
ENRICHMENT CLASSES:
While strong academics are essential, we believe middle school should be more than just traditional coursework.
At NLA, students are encouraged to explore, take risks, build confidence, and discover new interests.
Drama
Cooking
Public Speaking
Debate
Talent Shows
Art
Music (Ukulele)
Dance
Team-Building
Guest Speakers
Hands-on projects
Creative exploration
Student-led ideas
…and more

FIELD TRIPS:
We believe some of the most meaningful learning happens outside the classroom.

NLA offers approximately eight field trips each year, giving students the opportunity to connect learning to real-world experiences while building friendships and confidence.

BUILT IN SUPPORT:
Each day ends with a built-in homework and support session (M-Th).

Students can receive individualized help from teachers, complete assignments in a structured environment, and build strong study habits.

This support reduces stress at home and ensures students feel confident and prepared.

“I wasn’t growing or engaged at my previous school. At NLA, I’m challenged, supported, and actually enjoy learning again.”

— NLA Graduate
