A Message from the Director of Noble Learning Academy

Picture
Many schools claim to teach the whole child, but at NLA that focus is part of our DNA. We recruited each teacher based on their experience, philosophy of engagement and personal attention to students. In the 32 years I have been an educator, my time working with the staff and students of the Noble Learning Academy has been the most profoundly powerful experience of my career. Even in these more challenging times, we have utilized best practices to engage and challenge our students and to build a tight community filled with laughter and friendship. The success of this school is notable. As a matter of fact, many parents have shared that NLA far exceeded their expectations. Their children enjoy school while being well prepared for the rigors of high school ahead. Every staff member is committed to meeting students where they are and offering supports and challenges to maximize the academic impact for each child - all while making learning fun. These teachers truly know their 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
What sets Noble Learning Academy apart from other middle schools?
  • We currently enjoy a 1:7 ratio of teachers to students.
  • Our staff has collectively over 100 years of teaching experience.
  • We offer a wide array of enrichment classes each week taught by professional in their fields to include cooking, dance, yoga, art, games, finance/investments, drama, music (ukulele), and more.
  • Small group instruction and support groups ensure all students receive the tools they need to succeed.
    • For those who are ready for more of a challenge, as well as those who may need a bit more support, we are eager to give them the guidance they need.
  • Community building activities offer students a wide range of experiences to build agency and make friendships. NLA has a student yearbook committee, a service committee, and a school spirit committee.

NLA provides both physical and online options where fun, and student-centered instruction can continue either in person or from home. This flexibility works beautifully for traveling student athletes as well as families who enjoy vacationing throughout the year.  By utilizing state of the art technology, we are able to make the online learning more impactful.
